Story 4 Image Alumni make their mark

Two alumni have been elevated to the top of the business world. Accounting and information systems alumnus Luke Sayers has been appointed CEO of PricewaterhouseCoopers Australia, while marketing alumnus Tony Palmer is Kimberly-Clark Corporation’s new President, Global Brands and Innovation.

Three hundred people came to our first Alumni Speaker Series event for 2012 to see our expert panel debate the AFL's role in society. If you weren't able to attend you can read the story and view photos from the night or watch it in full on YouTube. Save the date - our next Speaker Series event will be held in Melbourne on 24 May.

It was during second year that aerospace engineering alumna Komal Sangha set her sights on a career in the Australian Defence Force. Four years later, she is a fully-qualified aviation engineer in the Royal Australian Navy. She works with highly complex machinery including the Navy’s fleet of Seahawk helicopters.

Professor Helena Teede, Amara Hamid, and Caroline Worth have joined 17 other inspirational Victorian women in being inducted onto the 2012 Victorian Honour Roll of Women. Each year the Roll pays tribute to women who have succeeded through vision, leadership, commitment and hard work. Read more about our honourees.

Story 4 Image Full, bright future ahead

Two Monash alumni have been awarded prestigious Fulbright Scholarships for study and research at leading institutions in the US in 2012. Dr Hamish Graham (pictured) has won a Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship, while Professor Michael Douglas was awarded a Fulbright Northern Territory Scholarship.

Alumnus Dr Paul Gardner AM has expressed his gratitude to Monash University for a rewarding 36-year career by making a bequest to the Faculty of Education - the first ever bequest by a former staff member to the faculty. His donation will support students through scholarships and prizes. Read more about Dr Gardner.
